Portsmouth Football Club is delighted to announce an innovative partnership with the mobile technology company ‘QikServe’ to provide fans with a service to deliver club merchandise to their seats.

The scheme will be piloted in the Fratton End from the next home game against Fleetwood Town on Saturday, thanks to Park Resorts, who are sponsoring the service.

Fans wanting to take advantage will need to download the free QikServe App before they come to Fratton Park, which will enable them to browse the merchandise available by scanning a QR code which will be stuck on every seat. They can then order and pay for goods via credit card or PayPal.

Their order will be processed and delivered to their seat either prior to kick-off or at half-time.

QikServe have already successfully trialled the concept at Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian and are now rolling it out to other clubs across the country, including Pompey.

Engagement manager Micah Hall said: “We are hugely excited by this cutting edge technology. It is a service which will enable fans to avoid queues or buy some goods, say like a scarf or a pair of gloves if it’s colder than expected, without leaving their seat.

“Future developments will include the opportunity to order food and drink pre-match and at half-time and this is part of our ongoing desire to make the fan experience at Fratton Park as good as possible.”

QikServe founder and COO Daniel Rodgers said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Portsmouth FC and to be able to offer the fans a brand new pre-match and half-time shopping experience.

“We are equally excited about the launch on September 21 in the Fratton End where the fans will have their very own kiosk at their seat!”
